Final Report

The MERMAID project was officially completed at the end of July 2002, after the final system prototype was successfully demonstrated to the EU review panel in Brussels on 23^rd July 2002. All the objectives of the project were successfully achieved, and the project deliverables were all accepted by the EU. Now that the system prototype has been developed and demonstrated, the project has effectively moved into the next stage, which is looking for ways in which to commercially exploit the system.

The final deliverable of the project was a public report, summarising the developments and technical achievements made during the project, and outlining the final status of the project.
